Anxiety

Stress and anxiety are two components of life that we all encounter. However, when anxiety symptoms persist for longer than 6 months, an anxiety disorder is most likely responsible. Anxiety is also accompanied by physical symptoms. This can include racing heart, difficulty breathing, tightness in chest and throat, feelings of dizziness, shaking, sweating, etc.

Whether you are anxious about everyday worries or social situations, anxiety can make everyday life situations seem unmanageable and daunting.

I understand that anxiety can get in the way of reaching out for help, but I am here to help support you in finding healthy ways to manage your anxiety.

In Therapy

You and I will begin to address the nature of your anxiety.

Together, we will:

  • Increase coping skills
  • Decrease physical symptoms
  • Decrease vulnerability to triggers
  • Identify and challenge unhelpful thinking patterns
  • Help you balance your life without anxiety being in control

We will identify concrete and achievable goals, and then identify objectives to help you begin to make steps to reach those goals.
